Woman's Christian Temperance Union records, 1882-1945.

The Woman's Christian Temperance Union Records contain Secretary's books with minutes of meetings, 1882-1894, 1915-1919, 1930-1936, 1936-1946. The 1930-1936 book also includes lists of members. There is a receipt book, 1895-1899, with a list of members, 1912-1915. There are two cash books, 1920-1929, of the Prohibition National Guards of the Loyal Temperance Legion, an organization evidently affiliated with the WCTU. There are some miscellaneous papers, 1921-1941, including letters addressed to Mattie P. Gray. She was evidently a leader of both the WCTU and the LTU. Finally, there is a copy of The Poetical Works of Thomas Campbell (Philadelphia: J. Crissy and J. Grigg, 1835).
